*IZAKAYA-Mitaka*
The district north of Mitaka Station is a popular residential area because although it is quiet, it has some good local shops. There are also plenty of old-style Izakayas, and Kagaya, by music venue Bayou Gate, is one of the best. They have both shared tables and a raised tatami floor seating area, which makes it suitable for a quick drink alone before a show or drinking with a large group of friends.
